Ambassadors for IAIM Australia...
Professor Graham Reynolds Graham is a senior Paeditatrician and Neonatologist, and is the Director of Paediatric Medical Research at the Australian National University School of Medicine and Canberra Hospital. He is considered a leading expert in the behavioural (social) development of children. Graham is a strong advocate for training neonatal, postnatal, community and early childhood professionals how to deliver the IAIM program as an effective way of reducing many key risks for the development of behavioural and social challenges later in childhood.
Dr. Jolanta Kalandyk-Gallagher Jolanta is Director of the ANU School of Music Early Childhood Program, and is considered one of the world's leading experts in programs that promote the development of children's self-esteem, social skills, identity and security. Jolanta is a passionate supporter of the IAIM program, and also funds a scholarship for Aboriginal women to train to become an Infant Massage Instructor.
Our Board...
President Jane Debaecker is an IAIM Certified Infant Massage Instructor based in Canberra. She also works full-time as a Midwife and Director of Postnatal Services at Calvary Hospital. Awarded the "Midwife of the Year" in 2011, Jane is a recognised leader in her field, passionate about leading IAIM to promote infant massage and positive touch. She has been President of IAIM since 2011.
Treasurer An IAIM certified Infant Massage Instructor, Sonia is based in Melbourne. She has over a decade of experience in finance management and control, though has recently changed career path, and has commenced Early Childhood Studies. She has been Treasurer of IAIM since 2010.
Secretary & International Representative Glenda Chapman is a Remedial Therapist, IAIM certified Infant Massage Instructor, Accredited International Trainer, and has been awarded Lifetime Membership with IAIM Australia. As well as representing our Board locally, Glenda also reprsents the Australian Chapter of IAIM in the international area, alongside 53 other IAIM countries. She is a tireless and long-term volunteer, committed to ensuring that the IAIM program is accessible to all families in Australia.
ACT Representative Mary Ellen Youseman is an energetic and experienced Certified Infant Massage Instructor from Canberra, and is also a Family & Child Health Nurse at the specialist QEII Family Centre. She has been involved with IAIM Australia since 2004, and she has been the ACT Representative on our Board since 2011.
NSW Representative Jan Aiello is an IAIM Certified Infant Massage Instructor, and Registered Child and Family Health Nurse with Tresillian. She has served on the IAIM Board as the state Representative for NSW since 2011, and is a passionate advocate for the rights of parents and babies to enjoy the best possible start to life.
Queensland Representative Ainsley Moden is an IAIM Certified Infant Massage Instructor, Remedial Therapist, and a dedicated triathlete based on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. She has served on the IAIM Board as the state Representative for Queensland since 2010.
SA Representative Doreen Gough originally trained as a Certified Infant Massage Instructor with IAIM in the UK, where she was a Registered Nurse, Health Service Manager and Home Visitor with the National Health Trust. Her committment to IAIM comes from having witnessed the outcomes of the IAIM program, which is offered extensively throughout the UK. She has served on the IAIM Australia Board as the state Representative for SA since immigrating to Australia in 2010.
